Traditional Haiku is 17 syllables...three lines: five syllables, then seven syllables, then five.
I intentionally wrote 17 syllables for each Haiku...the Hub title and each of the five in the article. The title and the first two took the longest to write...it had been a number of years since I wrote anything like this.
The third Haiku took two minutes to write. The fourth and fifth took a minute each.

Daisy a good read. Haiku is a genre that needs a lot of expertise to delete the words without compromising the emotions.

The only problem I see with writing Haiku is that I'm thinking in little 17-syllable bits now. The European geography quiz I've been writing will look funny as a string of Haiku.

I fully agree that this was far more meaningful. You took the poems and made it into a story with each individual one having a story as well. I really did enjoy how you put it together!
